Israeli immigration in the 1950's

During the 1950's, there was a huge wave of immigrants from Israel to America. From 1951-1960, 25,476 people immigrated to the United States. One reason for leaving their homeland would be lack of women's freedom and opportunity. If they immigrated, their families might come along with them. The most common thing that lured in the people of Israel was, quite obviously, religious freedom, along with opportunity to succeed in business, freedom of speech, etc. When they got to America, the Israeli tended to settle in and around New York and California. Of course, they couldn't just live in an apartment building with no job, so when people came in from Israel, the men typically found jobs in banks and such, and women tended to work in factories.
